Online learning enables a global community of students, empowers non-traditional learners, and supports the careers of working professionals. Digital classrooms will only become more prevalent in the next few years, increasing the number of faculty who must adapt their teaching styles to suit an online format. The Academic Technology Assist Program at Northeastern University seeks to train graduate-level academics in the technical skills and pedagogy of digital education; and connect these scholars with faculty to support the transition to a hybrid online and in-person university.
